About 2Co.Design Build
2Co.Design Build was created by two experienced and well-respected Designers coming together to bring a new approach to Interior Design to their clients.
Combining a design philosophy of timeless and exceptional quality with a fun and approachable outlook on client service, they opened their doors in January 2015.
Since their humble beginnings in 2 small offices of less than 500 sq ft, they’ve grown quickly to over 5,000 sq ft of space that includes a fabulous showroom filled with design ideas for every room in your home.

Michelle understands the importance of making a home your own and inspires clients to go beyond the conventional to create a home that is truly a reflection of them.
Since graduating from The International Academy of Design in 1991, she has acquired experience in retail design companies…from paint & decor through high end furniture and custom drapery. In 2011 she was given the opportunity to teach Materials & Finishes at Durham College and became a partner at Sum of 3 Designs, expanding her range to provide full service home renovations.
In 2013 she added teaching History of Furniture at Durham College, and in 2014 partnered with Susan Carducci to open 2Co.Design Build….Michelle loves the diversity that each new project brings and having the opportunity to create beautiful homes.
Susan Carducci graduated from Ryerson University in 1993 where she obtained her Bachelor of Applied Arts Interior Design (B.A.A.I.D).
Upon graduating, Susan began working for Elte one of Toronto’s most established retail furniture showrooms. Her focus is on making her clients’ home a place to love through careful selection of furniture, fabrics, and lighting that reflect the unique style of each individual. Susan’s passion for working with fine furniture allowed her to expand and evolve as a furniture buyer, merchandiser, and designer at Rousseau’s in Durham region.
In February 2012, Susan established Susan Carducci Design Inc. Susan strives to provide a classical, modern design style which fuses elements that can be characterized as traditional, chic, and elegant. This, coupled with Susan’s desire to incorporate the unique tastes of each client, results in a finished design that embodies both elegance and individuality.
A self proclaimed Decor Addict, Sara has been helping friends for years with adding furniture and finishing touches to their rooms. When the opportunity arose at 2Co.Design Build to help clients, it seemed like a natural fit. Sara holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Guelph and has over two decades of sales and key account experience where she worked with a broad range of clients with vastly differing needs.
Sara loves to pull rooms together reflective of who the client is and what their needs are. She blends her playful yet chic approach to colour and trends while bringing individual style and professionalism to every project. Sara our interior stylist loves to source furniture and accent pieces, incorporating patterns, prints and textures creating perfect options for client’s homes.
In 2016, having spent 18+ years in Corporate HR, Cheryl decided that it was time for a new career adventure and pursue a life-long passion she had for Interior Design. She enrolled in the Interior Decorating Certification Program at Durham College and upon completion joined the 2Co. team in 2018. In her role as Design Project Coordinator, she applies her project management, communication and customer-focused approach to all aspects of her role. With a penchant for organization and collaboration, she says the best part of her job is “Ensuring that our client needs are met with the highest level of personalized service, while being surrounded by all the beautiful aspects of design and décor that this industry offers.
Joanne’s fascination and inspiration for design started in her early teens. Growing up in a century home she was always painting and decorating the various rooms in their home. On summer break from studies while attending the University of Toronto in the Psycholinguistics program, Joanne completed her first total kitchen renovation in her childhood home. This love of design and décor was now fully planted.
After a successful career in IT, Joanne has returned to her first love. Over the last few years, she has continued her studies in the Interior Design program while working in the design and décor industry, recently joining the team at 2 Co. Design.
Joanne loves to help clients find the perfect furniture for their space or add the finishing touches to their décor through the selection of accessories.
Emma has always had a passion for design. Rather than watching cartoons after school like the rest of her friends, she filled her spare time watching shows like ‘Love it or list it’ and ‘Holmes on Homes’. Emma is currently completing her third year of Interior Design studies at George Brown College. She started as an intern at 2Co. in 2020, and shortly after was hired onto the team as a design assistant. She enjoys sourcing furniture pieces, creating dreamy fabric stories for clients and utilizing her training to create technical and 3D drawings for our projects.
With her fresh, fun style & passion for design, Emma is always looking for new ways to create that wow-factor.
The entire 2Co.Design Build team impressed us from start to finish working with them through our renovation. Upon our first meeting with Michelle, she took the time to understand our needs and our vision by using her creativity and common sense to incorporate our ideas into the beautiful environment we now live in. Keeping within our budget and our vision was always at the forefront.
